Since the block buster movie “Sixth Sense” I have probably heard and even said the phrase “I see dead people” more times then I would like to admit. As simple a phrase that is, mediumship doesn’t usually work that way. Some people are unaware or even afraid of the images or things they feel, not realizing they are having a mediumship connection with some one who has crossed over.

“When I am making a connection a tingling feeling, almost like an anxious feeling, starts to slowly take over my body”

I began to first start having connection as a medium when I was in my early teens. I sometimes think, because I had strong natural psychic abilities to begin with that this may have been brought on by the onset of puberty. Like the change of hormones help to bring out the ability that was already there.

At first I didn’t really understand what was going on. Seeing images flashing in my mind, I at first would get them confused with visions that I would see on a psychic level. Then I began to realize that some one was actually there giving me these vision flashes.

Once I was able to understand that I indeed was connecting with the other side I was able to use meditation to open myself up enough to allow messages to come through more clear to me as well as to be able to shut myself down so that messages would not be coming to me at odd times and disrupting my life.

When I am making a connection a tingling feeling, almost like an anxious feeling, starts to slowly take over my body. I start to feel warm. The back of my neck gets exceptionally warm and until someone pointed it out to me last year, I had no idea that when this was happening I would put my long red hair up in a pony tail holder. I have since started to walk around with a pony tail holder or two on my wrist and they clutter my desk as well, in case a connections starts to be made.

“People have asked me if this scares me. It doesn’t I have been like this most of my life.”

Each person who can connect with the other side does so differently. I will feel the spirit around me, smell them, and sometimes even hear them.

When they send me messages they flash me picture that are in my own frame of references in my mind and I must decide what each one means. When I do that vision drops out of the line of messages and the next ones begin. Then I am able to give these messages to the spirits loved one.

People have asked me if this scares me. It doesn’t I have been like this most of my life. But I can understand where to some it may be scary if you do not understand what it is. If this happens to you, you can ask your spirit guides to help you understand. You can even tell the spirit you do not understand. But if you are still scared you may also ask the spirit not to connect with you and I have found that they will stop.

“Connecting with our loved ones who have crossed over can be a very loving experience for us.”

Connecting with our loved ones who have crossed over can be a very loving experience for us. You do not need a medium to connect with a loved one who has crossed over. They leave signs for you all the time that they are around. Some times it may be letting you smell the way they smelled on the air, or smelling the favorite cookies that your grandmother used to make when you are alone. They can connect by allowing you to hear a song that triggers you to remember them. Some clients have even told me about their loved ones leaving them change in odd places, likes dimes and pennies. They will even come to use in a dream visits. Dream visits from loved ones will be very vivid and non-scary.

My father has connected with me several times since his passing of cancer in 2000 and each time has been a rewarding and loving experience.

Meditation To help you connect With your Spirit Guides

The following is a meditation that you may use to connect to your spirit guides or loved ones that have crossed over. It is my hope that you are able to make this loving connection and come to understand that you do not need to go to a medium like myself. Your loved ones are around you all the time.

·        First I get really comfy. If I play music I play classical music that doesn’t have any words. If the music has words you focus on the words and not on the meditation. I usual lie on my bed and have my fan going because I like and need white noise. I don’t like quiet.

·        Now I take some deep breaths. I take deep breaths through my nose. Hold it and then slowly let it out through my mouth. Doing this three or four times until I feel totally relaxed. While I am doing that I have my eyes close and envision all the troubles and stresses from the day turning into a big ball that bounce around until all the stress is gone and it bounces out of the darkness.

·        In the darkness I see a door with a bright light shining under it and I open door. The door opens up to a big beautiful field. With green, green grass and wonderful flowers. The wind is softly blowing and there is a sweet smell on the air like honey suckles.

·        I see a nice path way and start to walk down it and pass a bench. Ahead on the bath is a big gazebo. It is covered with breath taking views and rose flowers. I can not see who is there waiting until I get to the steps of the gazebo. When I reach the steps my guide comes out and we walk to the bench together and talk about any issue I wish.

·        You can do this with your guide as well. After we talk I walk my guide back to the gazebo and thank her for coming and talking with me and I walk slowly down the bath, through the door and open my eyes.
