listen to:November newsletter
Greetings to you all on the 3rd of November; a day on which Muslims celebrate the Eid (the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting), and Hindus celebrate Diwali (the festival of light). In two days, we will also be celebrating Guy Fawkes Day in Britain, which is marked by bonfires and firework parties around the country, as 400 years ago a terrorist of the day, unsuccessfully tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament; his figure still burns on the bonfires today.
As I look out of my window over London, I can see the leaves falling from the trees, the clouds racing across a stormy and rain-soaked sky - Mother Nature changing her attire; summer is now just a memory. I feel this is also a good time to reflect on changes that are happening in our world, and to plan now for the coming year, which is only weeks away.
In my case my focus, apart from my work with clients and writing, has recently been on the next stage of development for my Websites. From the outset, the PS Websites have been about providing FREE quality information, a resource for spiritual growth, inspiration and self development. When planning the development of the Sites I wanted to provide a world-class Portal for spiritual and psychic matters, something I felt was sorely needed. Over the next few years, as more and more people seek to inform themselves about these matters, I plan to further develop and continue to provide services to an ever-growing audience.
I have also been looking into developing more efficient way of delivering information, following the success of my recently launched Podcasting service (or "take-away" media); I am now planning to add RSS news feeds to the Website, so you can choose what information you wish to receive, such as latest news, articles and interviews; all delivered regularly and directly to your PC, without the need to even logon to PS-Magazine. My intention is therefore to use the RSS feeds to make the information in PS-Magazine even more accessible. As a result, some of the categories on PS Magazine will be rearranged to accommodate the newsfeed. More about that next month.
On a technical point RSS stands for "really simple syndication", and some of you will have noticed that we use the same technology to distribute our Podcasts; we will update the RSS logo on the Website to make clear which feed is which. Once the feeds are available I will being writing and also giving you information on free "feed-readers" - all of you who are parents may appreciate that this may let you, just for once, be one step ahead of your children. The Technophobics among you will just have to make a cup of coffee and call a teenager to help.
I am happy to report that PsychicPodcasts.com has quickly developed a staunch following - there were more than 2,000 new downloads in the last month and the number of subscribers grows daily. Now that the Podcasts can be downloaded directly from iTunes they have attracted a whole new audience.
The interview with Stewart Pearce, on the Alchemy of Voice discussing how sound is the origin of creation and how we can claim our 'signature note', was particularly popular; and the interview with Kris Deva North, where we discussed various topics ranging from gratitude, sex, and meditation to spiritual awareness in everyday life; has also been extremely popular.
These are still available form the Website or iTunes, if you have not yet caught up with them - but Broadband is really essential given the size of the files. I am grateful to all my guests, and to my friend and client, Angie McNee, whose patience and expertise in sound engineering helped guide me to produce my first in-house sound promo for PsychicPodcasts.com.
Over the next few weeks, we are planning a series of new interviews
with the three well-known Americans; the channeller Asandra, Astrologer Jessica Murray, and prominent scientist and writer on after-death experiences, Dr. P H Atwater; these are in addition to interviews with Teresa Hale, the founder of the Hale Clinic in London, Tania Ahsan the editor of Prediction Magazine, UK's prominent medium Vince Price, and further interviews with Stewart Pearce. In short it feels like working at the BBC round here at present!
By the way I enjoyed my first experience on BBC television a few weeks ago, when I appeared on a quiz broadcast at the Labour party Conference in Brighton; I was fascinated by the technology used, and I was also interested to see that the microphone I use for Podcasting provides such high quality.
In the search of quality, I came to know about the unique Mannatech Products to support well being. Mannatech are the leaders in Glyconutrients. I have benefited from their products myself.
