Bad Feng Shui Causes Hong Kong Virus

Some Feng Shui Experts in Hong Kong have said publicly that the Deadly Flu epidemic seizing Hong Kong is the result of bad Feng Shui for the entire SAR (Special Administrative Region) area of Hong Kong. Is it only a coincidence that the flu bug is called "SAR Syndrome" (SARS)? Can an entire city of 6.9 million people have collective bad Feng Shui? How can it be cured?

According to a Feng Shui show on public TV here in Hong Kong last week the bad Feng Shui started this year, which is the 6th year after the Handover from Britain in 1997.

The Chinese believe that the number 6 is unlucky in certain circumstances. For example: If you and you partner are 6 years apart in age you may not get along very well in your relationship.

Also when you have a 6 in your age (Chinese Birth year), such as 36, 46, 56 then you will have a bad thing happen to you in that year. According to a local Feng Shui Fortune Teller, the first two months of the Chinese New Year of the Goat (this year), the element of Gold is responsible for people's respiratory systems.

The first two month's of this Chinese Year lack enough of this element and therefore people will have more of these respiratory problems.

As the year progresses and more of the element Gold comes into Hong Kong then this disease will go away. The Fortune Teller cautions that later this year another elemental deficiency will cause eye problems for the people of Hong Kong.

About Feng Shui

The Art of Feng Shui involves the placement of sacred objects in relationship to our surroundings - in particular our home and business.

In Asia, a Feng Shui Master will even be consulted by the Architect in the planning of the relationships of rooms, doorways and windows to themselves and the forces of nature.

It is truly believed that the proper, or improper, positioning and association of all these elements will have a dramatic impact on your life. Here we offer the sacred objects with their meanings for your own Feng Shui collection

FENG SHUI Animal Symbols

Horses: invitation of fame and recognition into life

Fu dogs: to protect homes and family from evil influence

Elephants: symbol of wisdom and strength. Used for strengthening career

Dragons: symbols of great success and prosperity

Turtles: symbols of long life, endurance & success in business

Three-legged frog/toad: bring good luck and wealth

Pigs: symbols of fertility, i.e. to have children, also bring luxury and financial security to children and mother.

Deer: This animal represents immortality and is often carved with the fungus of Immortality LingZhi in its mouth.

Bat: This is a symbol of luck or blessing by virtue of its name. It is called "FU" which had the same sound as the Chinese word meaning blessing.

Lion: The lion was introduced into China by Buddhism. There were no lions in China. It is a symbol of law and order and protector of sacred buildings like temples and clan buildings. .

Fish: This is sometimes represented singly or in pairs when it is intended to be one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems of Happy Augury. The fish is often the carp, a sacred fish, which could come to listen to the preaching of Buddhist scriptures.

zodiac animals: that correlate to your year of birth will give a stronger sense of self and more power; to put the zodiac animals of yours and your lover's will improve relationships.

Statues' Symbols

Buddha: lead to atmosphere of serenity and happy contentment
Laughing buddha: bring joy and luck into homes
Kuan Yin: the Goddess of Mercy, regarded as the protector of children and women
Fok, Luk , Shou (3 wise men): they symbolize happiness, wealth and longevity, and to double the luck
Shou Xing (long life buddha, big head buddha): symbol of long life; bring long, happy and peaceful life.
Fruits

Like insects, are chosen for their shapes and meaning.
Peach: The peach is a symbol of longevity.
Citron: The citron fruit of Buddha's Hand, symbolizes Buddhism because the fruit resembles Buddha's hand with the index and little finger pointing upwards.
Gourd: Besides its artistic shape, it is a representative symbol of one of the Eight Immortals, Li Tie Guai.
Pomegranate: This is a symbol of abundance because of its numerous seeds. Here again the colors of jade make it suitable, especially if the outer layer is greenish-yellow and the inside is pink or red.
