Hello,

I enjoyed your very short youtube video about your coffee reading.

I am interested in your book from Amazon.  I am curious as to why your book/kit uses a straight sided cup?

Would I be better off getting the book and then buying a different, wider and rounder cup and saucer?  Thanks for your opinion on the subject.

Blessings,
Barbara

Hello barbara,
Thank you for your email.

The straight sided cup that comes with my book: Your Fortune in A Coffee Cup - The Art of Divining with Coffee Grounds, is the original authentic cup that has been developed by the Turks some 600 - 700 years ago. I prefer it because the images appear very clearly in it. I tried bigger cups, and clients sometimes come with their own large cups - which makes me laugh; thinking that they might get more information out of it. it does not work that way.

A lot has to do with how the coffee grounds flow down the walls of the cup when it is turned upside down. The larger or more cups tend to influence how the images are shaped, and for me, they tend to throw the images out of shape.

However, and by all means, do try and see what happens.

There are also Turkish coffee cups with slightly wider opening, these can certainly work- I only use these for photography purposes- and then in the end I always go back to using the straight sided cups.

I sincerely hope that you will enjoy the book. And thank you for your encouraging comments about my video- it was my first attempt and I am still learning how to produce better videos.
