To me, the end of each calendar year feels like reckoning time when old and new challenges are thrown at us all at once, seemingly just for good measure. If that is where you are at, panic no more- help is it at hand!
Spiritual Life Coaching will show you how to priorities your time in the year ahead to get the most out of your life in two simple steps!
Tune in to the rhythm of life, and obstacles will gradually disappear. This simple tool will have a big and positive impact on your life. Instead of worrying about what and when you should attempt something; try ‘feeling’ the pulse. If, for example, when you attempt to make a telephone call, you keep getting a busy signal; hang up and call at another time altogether. It’s the universe’s way of letting know that ‘now’ may not be the right time to make that call or move. A word of caution though, you have to learn to be flexible.
What you view as urgent or important may not necessarily correspond to that of the ‘bigger picture’. Be ready to swap priorities and adopt new ones as your day unfolds. While this may not come naturally to you, tuning in to the rhythm of life, instead of forcing it to go according to your own; does get easier with practice.
Tune out your mind’s chatter. Most of the time, most of us are busy entertaining negative thoughts and doubts to the extent that we stop ourselves from actually making what we truly desire happen. Worse still, we do not even stop the chatter long enough to actually listen to the answers we seek! But, when you do the answers start coming through, on all levels, loud and clear.
To help you tune out, imagine that co-creating what you desire is just like placing a room-service order. Ask it, or visualise it, and then let go. Get on with you can do, relaxed in the knowledge that your answers are on the way. Waiting ‘by the door’ will seem to ‘stretch’ time and cause undue stress.
Life is for the living. Inspiration and insights flow when we are actively enjoying our time and not when we are passively waiting for answers. Keeping the proverbial fingers on life’s pulse and learning to listen will show you that time
is your ally- not your foe.
Happy New Year!
Q. 'I am hectic at work and that's not going to change but I never have time to do any of the other stuff I would like to. What can I do?'
There are several factors to consider here, but will try to simplify it by suggesting that you ‘tune into’ what needs to be done on a particular day and ‘tune out’ by delegating chores that are not urgent; thus freeing yourself a bit. It is what you do with your time and how you spend it that makes the difference. Contemplate the nature of your job and how you manage your time at work and whether you actually enjoy it and to what degree. Ultimately, if you are not enjoying it, the answer may lie in changing it!
Then consider how you manage your time in general- your personal habits. Our ‘personal’ dynamic, or pattern, is an extension of ‘how’ we generally manage life, or time, and is likely to be the same pattern whether at home or work. One will affect the other. Take time out to structure your day by prioritising chores and tasks that need to be done that day, week, or month; and then build the rest around it.
Be realistic, if you can only manage 5 tasks, then you should not commit to more- otherwise you will stress endlessly! Next, map repetitive chores (and things you would like to do) in a calendar or diary so you are always reminded of both what needs to be done, and you would like to do. The trick is to find a balance point between both. Implementing such tools can help bring more harmony into your life on a daily bases. Over time, you will be changing your patterns from ‘chaos’ to ‘order’.
