Already feeling the crunch of credit card bills and overdrawn accounts post the festive season? If waking up to that New Year reality is something you’re avoiding, read on! Financial well-being is a major concern that many of us have. Learning how to create and attract it is part of our spiritual awareness. I almost always explain to my clients that Money energy, Love energy and Creative energy are one the same energy as far as the universe is concerned! It is the same vital energy of abundance that it is beating with.

Remember the basic law of creation: the two energies of Yin and Yang, essence and form; or ‘content’ and ‘container’? They come together to create an outcome. Simply put, creating abundance in your life requires awareness of your thought patterns and belief system (the intangible) as well as taking the right steps or decisions that correspond to that belief system (tangible).

If you believe you can’t have enough or that you will never have any money- then you won’t- no matter how long you visualise! By the same token, once you ‘materialise’ abundance, but fail to look after it, nurture, or use it to your as well as others’ benefit; you would discourage the flow your way because the experience of abundance was not a positive one for you as far as your soul is concerned.

Moreover, once you do create more money, how much would you want? Do you have a figure in mind? And more importantly what would you really do with it once you have it? Make a wish list, be specific, and then prioritise that list (be objective). Developing a clear idea of what your priorities are, and how you would channel the flow is part of the discipline that will help you systemically build a ‘positive alliance’ with abundance.

Energy flow is always in both directions: sometimes you need to ‘give’ some in order to ‘receive’ some. Paying a bill on time can mean that more money is on its way to you! But also consider giving to the needy or to a charity every now and then instead of just focusing on ‘must haves’ that are seem beyond your reach at the moment. Finally, you’ll do to remember that money is creative energy that needs to be ‘seduced’ and not dictated to.

So, be happy, be nice to others, and smile a lot- you might just encourage the flow your way!

Dear Sahar,

I've got a few thousand pounds of debts to clear ob my credit card. Every month I find myself with just enough money to pay off the minimum payment but never enough to make a dent in the whole amount, so it just keeps creeping up. I'm generally a positive person and tend to have a "You can't take it with you" attitude to money - which might be why I'm in this mess. Can you advise me how I should think differently about my finances?

Dear Debbie,

Isn’t that the one-million-dollar answer? Joking aside, money is a very serious spiritual matter. In fact, as I always tell my clients, Money energy, love energy, and creative energy is one and the same as far the universe is concerned. Whether you are creating love, abundant life, or more money, it takes the same in terms energy. So, to sort out money problems, you need to adopt a holistic view of your life, and correct all patterns that are out of alignment- not just those of money.

For example, when a pattern is our of alignment, it means that we are not centred, so ‘manifesting’ or co-creating what we desire becomes harder, if not even blocked. Very often, and in order to ‘correct’ the flow of energy, people would either binge by over eating, over spending, or end cutting themselves off from the flow of life and leading a life that lacks friends or loved ones to share it with and health may begin to suffer too.

By correcting t he flow of one are, you will be learning how to apply the same knowledge and skill to the others; thus upping the abundance vibe in your life! Money energy is tangible, so you will be able to literally see and gauge how much you are earning, spending and what is it being spent on; effectively letting you know if you learnt how to manifest abundance.
