You often hear that “you can’t love others until you love yourself- body, mind and soul. Love is the foundational stone of the world's religions and spiritual growth and practices. Love is not something that you just fall into, as the romantic songs suggest. Love is a spiritual practice. You can get better at it over time. Love allows you to balance fear, and enhances intimacy- with yourself, others, and nature. Love is all encompassing.

When I tell a client that a new relationship is on the horizon, I often hear “but I can’t let go until I understand why the previous one did not work”. No you don’t! Our linear understanding as humans is very limited. As I mentioned in previous articles, the frequency of analysing something, does not change the fact or the nature of what is being analysed. What you need is to register how you feel, then act on that feeling or in other words make a decision (not to feel that way!). The Lovers card, in the tarot for example, is about making a decision; not about understanding. It’s about a decision that allows you to move forward- to evolve spiritually.

Choices of the heart

In her article about The Harmonic Concordance, Kelly Rosano wrote:

“When we make our choices from love, we always choose correctly. When we make our choices from fear, we always are out alignment with our soul, Source and nature. To live authentically and powerfully we must be “who” we really are.. When you live from the soul essence (inner nature) of who you truly are, you are in alignment with divine forces, Source and nature.” 

On a planetary or universal level, the Harmonic Concordance that took place last year and this year suggests that we have a key opportunity to re-evaluate our sense of relatedness and inter-connectedness - spiritually, emotionally and psychologically. The Sufi’s refer to this as “Unity of Being” or “wahdat al wujud”- Love is everywhere. You can’t choose one compartment, and ignore the rest! However, you can learn how to connect to the ‘universal grid’ that you are part of. This is unconditional love.

Two years ago, I leant more about the practice of ‘Unity of Being’ from Sufi Master Sayed Hamraz of Iktara. It is a way of using the positive energies of stars to dissolve any limitations or negative influences in your life, so you can improve your experience of life down here on earth.

Last year, I learnt more about unconditional love from Jude Currivan-, a healer, scientist and a cosmic geomancer; whose workshop I attended at the College of Psychic Studies (see www.judecurrivan.com). ‘Healing Through the Universal Heart’ made me more aware of how we and our universe are interconnected parts of the whole, and how by realising this and practicing it, one is never truly alone! Jude refers to this saying:

“patterns are born out of fear. Fear is about separation, seeing ourselves alone or lonely. Healing is about ‘re-membering’ the discarded parts.”

Unconditional Love any one?

Jude personally experienced and believes that “we are individually and collectively beginning to access and experience a twelve-fold chakra system, which profoundly resonates with the consciousness of the Earth and the entire solar system as a collective soul.” Unconditional love is the essence of this interconnected matrix of consciousness. The eighth chakra, which is becoming known as the Universal Heart chakra, is the portal to these higher connections.

As you evolve the planet and indeed the cosmos evolves- the opposite is also true. The eighth and higher chakras expand our energy field beyond our human personality and progressively connect us with our ‘soular’ memory and awareness and with All That Is. On a collective level, it is our increasing resonance with this eighth chakra which we are experiencing as the One Heart.

***image3*** Working in the Universal Heart, brings together the personal heart, mind and will and raises their vibrations to the essence of unconditional love. Inner healing in this way is supported with compassion (heart) clarity (mind) and courage (will). So people do ‘understand’ or recognise the patterns or issues they are seeking to heal, but can do so without judgement and without fear. For most, it would feel as though you are stepping out of the frame, and able to observe your movie without emotionally reacting or participating in the scene.

This Valentine, whether you are in a ‘human’ relationship or in a ‘heavenly’ one, know that you’re not alone. Know that your heart, my heart, Earth’s heart, in deed the cosmic heart are all integrated parts of ONE Heart, that beats to the tune of unconditional love. Happy Valentine’s.
