Hello,
Regarding your article on Colon Hydrotherapy article:
My nephew age 29 has just been treated for his second cancer of the colon. Tumors were removed and a small part of the colon below and above his belly button. What diet would you recommend while he is on Chemo?

Dear Karen,
you may wish to direct your question to Karen Clickner, an amazing Naturopathic. Please check links below:
Hi Karen,
Sahar forwarded your message on to me and my opinion for the diet would be first,
-
you can't have any fiber or fibrous vegetables,
-
no nuts or seeds, as all of these can injure the delicate lining while healing takes place.
From a holistic perspective, we would recommend further:
·
no dairy,
·
lots of green vegetable juices (hugely important),
·
and I would add in liquid form some green tea extract, chamomile, marshmallow root and licorice (as long as high blood pressure isn't a factor).
Hope that helps a bit - but remember to speak with the doctor about all of this, as everything needs to be taken into account in equal measure at this point...
