Developed by Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ at the Stanford Research institute in 1972, as a response to Soviet research into psychic phenomena, remote viewing projects were commissioned and carried out by the US government who spent $20 million dollars over the course of twenty years on exploring this phenomenon.
In 1991, the classified project; codename 'Star gate', tested remote viewing techniques on twenty individuals who were found to have a statistically significant 2% success rate. However, in 1995, the CIA terminated the psychic espionage programme due to this low success rate. Since that time, remote viewing training has become accessible to the public through various training schools, some of which are being run by those that set up the American intelligence programmes.
What is remote viewing?
Remote viewing was defined by SRI, (Stanford Research institute 1973) research reports as, "One of a broad class of abilities of certain individuals to access, by means of mental processes, and describe information sources blocked from ordinary perception and generally accepted as secure against access". However, this is a little vague.
Remote viewing can be conducted with thousands of miles between the viewer and the focal point. It is the ability to bring the unconscious mind to conscious awareness.
Who uses it?
Remote viewing was used as a tool by the U.S military in attempts to gain access to information about enemy plans during the cold war. Today, psychics with remote viewing skills help the police and detective agencies in finding lost people and seeking out locations of crime.
Remote viewing experiments by the U.S army
Various experiments were carried out to test remote viewing ability. In the beginning it was more a test of psychic ability than remote viewing, such as guessing the numbers on the back of cards. Experiments such as these require the brain to think when really the brain needs to get out of the way and allow the wisdom of the subconscious to act; it is impossible for the brain to know what a place it has never seen looks like, a source of greater wisdom must be accessed.
When the following model was followed, remote viewing experiments brought significantly accurate results.
- A person is sent to a random site to act as a beacon.
- The viewer has no knowing of the location.
- At an arranged time, the viewer describes the location, by tuning in to the beacon.
- As a result accurate descriptions of the location were recorded.
However there was a fundamental flaw with this experiment; how would a beacon be placed at the enemies site and if a 'beacon' were there, there would be little use for a remote viewer as the 'beacon' could report back himself. Also, this experiment does not prove remote viewing ability, only mind reading; the viewer simply reading the beacons mind; seeing through their eyes.
So another approach was attempted, this time removing the beacon from the experiment and simply offering the viewer map locations using coordinates. Astonishingly, on receiving map coordinates viewers still managed to pick up accurate information of locations!
The science of remote viewing
Essentially, remote viewing is a form of Clairvoyance that follows a set of protocols. E.g. the viewer must be blind to the location being viewed. Clear objectives are laid out and unlike a Clairvoyant reading where the client is involved in the experiment and often in the same room, remote viewing is, as the name suggests, conducted remotely, often with thousands of miles between viewer and location.
If mind reading is not taking place then something must be fuelling the mind of the viewer with information about the target site, but what? Scientists are now discussing the A-field as the possible source of information, the field mystics know as the Akashic records; a field of information that forms the foundations of our world and which spans the fabric of time and space. Within the A-field are energy imprints; the records and memories of all time; a two dimensional holographic field that exists on a realm beyond human perception. It may be possible that humans can consciously access the A-field and download information about anything that has ever happened and gain access to any location; the key would seem to be, being clear about what you are asking for information on, map coordinates offer this clarity.
Remote viewing works with the law of attraction; the thoughts you send out come back to you as images. Through the law of attraction the information you require is drawn to your mind and downloaded through the subconscious into the conscious mind. The interpretation made by the remote viewer is essential to accuracy, rather like dream analysis. And so, it is essential to keep conscious thoughts about what you think an object is out of the way and simply sketch the images that come into your mind in their pure form.
Remote viewing can be practiced by anyone; it is a natural human ability that takes only conscious awareness and practice.
Develop your remote viewing skills
- Buy a local map of an area you don't know but that you can drive to at a later date to assess your accuracy.
- Open the map and hold a pendulum or your hand over the map until you feel a connection with a certain area.
- Now close your eyes and make an intention to 'see' this area in your minds eye.
- Watch the pictures that form in your mind and after 5 minutes stop and make a note of all that you have seen.
- Now in your mind, ask to see these images in greater detail and again just watch the mental images unfold and after 5 more minutes make a note.
- Do this again and over the next five minutes pay attention to any thoughts, physical sensations or change in emotion and then make a note of this.
- Now drive to the location and check your accuracy.
