Today I lit
A candle
For you,
Beloved,
So that your
Light
May shine
Once more
Upon this world
It shall
Reach out to
Cool
The fevered brow
Wipe the tear
Oh so gently
From the lash
Launch pain
Into flight
It will awaken
The sleeping
Hearts of man
Once more
And bring hope
Where there
Is none
Hear my wish
Beloved,
Let it be carried
To you
On the wing beats
Of a thousand
Doves.
Know that I
Am yours
