When an individual is faced with emotional confusion, it is because a
disconnection with one's essence has occurred. The more pronounced the emotional
response is, the more likelihood of a past life thread connecting to one's
current life. The most important thing is to determine what the core emotional
response is. For example, when faced with self-doubt, do you feel abandoned? Do
you feel that life is a struggle? Do you feel victimized? Do you feel you are
not good enough? And so on.
It is important to begin an internal inquiry. This is not an intellectual
process. Rather, it is about paying attention to the repeat pattern of one’s
automatic emotional response. At first, it may not seem that the same emotional
issue is surfacing repeatedly. However, with continued observation, you will see
what your pattern or patterns are. The way this manifests will vary, but the
emotional response remains the same.
When past life traumas are unresolved, the individual will bring it back into
a future lifetime, as a residual emotional wound. The circumstances of your
current life in which you were healing that wound, will be played out in some
new form so that you can address it. In the example of self-doubt, perhaps an
individual grows up in a family that does not approve of their musical talent.
They are continuously hearing the same negative message, such as,
“You can’t
support yourself as a musician,” and begin to doubt themselves. This would
naturally lead to some deep, internal conflict.
How does one heal these painful wounds? The first part of the process is, as
stated above, to observe the emotional issue that is beneath the surface of the
circumstance. In other words, it is not how it is demonstrated in your life that
is significant, but how you respond emotionally.
The second part of the process is what you will replace the old emotional
wound with. To become whole again, one must reconnect with one's essence. This
can be done through many processes. One exercise would be to see yourself as an
illuminated energy field, whole and complete. See your entire body, head to toe,
fingertip to fingertip, as pure, white light, extending outward into the
infinite universe. Feel that illuminated essence healing the fragmented parts of
your being. Affirm,
"I am whole, complete, and aligned with my true
nature."
There is a tendency, when an old wound is unhealed, to automatically revert
to that emotional place. When you bring it up to the light at the conscious
level, and only then, can the patterns be broken, and replaced with that which
repairs, heals, and restores the soul. An individual may have an incurable
disease, but they can still achieve great internal healing. True healing always
takes place at the soul level. And true healing is always possible.
