Psychic Sahar Huneidi, 'one of the best 100 psychics in the world*', is the new Intuitive Astrology columnist for Sharq Magazine -  UK's Premier Arab Bimonthly Lifestyle Magazine, featuring British Arab Culture.  Her new Horoscope column will start next month, March 2006.

This coincides with Sharq’s first anniversary, in March 2006, as the first and only lifestyle publication addressing the over half a million Arabs living in the UK. “We’ve had a great first year,” says Sharq founder and Editor Reem Maghribi, 27. “We’ve received positive feedback from the media, the Arab community and our readers, and have surpassed our own expectations.”

The magazine is the brain child of the editor, and is privately funded by her, and a small group of friends; which allows the magazines total freedom in its style, content, and editorial policy. Sharq went from being a vision to enlighten both Arabs and Britons as to the positive contributions of Arabs in the UK, which often go unnoticed or unreported, to a magazine with a core team of postgraduates, a network of talented writers and photographers and a readership of 150,000.

Sharq has already established a distribution network nationwide - including branches of Borders bookstores - and gained subscribers across Britain, as well as North America, Europe and the Middle East. Advertisers, including British Airways, Lycos and bmi, have taken advantage of the magazine’s unique placement in a niche market.

The anniversary issue, its seventh to date, out in March; includes feature interviews with British electro-pop group The Soho Dolls, world-renowned Egyptian heart surgeon Sir Magdi Yacoub, and Saudi author Soheir Khashoggi. Other stories explore Arab contributions to chess; the haute couture collection of furniture designer Sameh; the BBC’s Middle East coverage.

The new intuitive horoscope column will also feature forecast for selected Middle Eastern celebrities. March/April issue highlights Haifa Wehbe and Omar Sharif’s horoscopes.
