The distinctive sound of the leading world music artist's passionate percussion with the exciting rhythms of the Hossam Ramzy band of traditional musicians will support Serena's exploration of the traditional dances of the Nile from ancient Egyptian queens to modern fusion, accompanied by guest dancers.
Platinum disc holder Hossam Ramzy has brought his unique Arabian, bedouin and North African influenced understanding of traditional music to the work of major artists such as Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. Hossam and Serena will be at the Bloomsbury Theatre for one night only to support the Friends of the Petrie Museum appeal for a new building for the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology at UCL.
An Egyptian souk will contribute to the evening's entertainment.
