Taymour Qabazard is an old friend whom I first met as a client. He is a qualified coach and an NLP & TFT practitioner who has had clients from all walks of life. His approach is inspiring, fun and he easily spots your strengths and builds on them.
Taymour's sense of humour is what hallmarks his approach to life-coaching, as you will discover in this interview! He contributes regularly to PS Magazine in Life Coaching column.
PS Magazine: 'There is so much in a name,' what does your first name mean? Favourite colour? Soul number (sum of the digits of your date of birth reduced to numbers between 1 and 9. example: 12.04.1956 = 1+2+4+1+9+5+6=3+4+3=1)
Taymour: I honestly have no idea what my name means, but it originated in Mongolia, from Tamerlane the conqueror. Favourite colour Blue. Soul number = 3
PS Magazine: Why do you do what you do? When did you start? And what is in it for you-personally?
Taymour: I love working with people, and seem to have a natural ability in bringing out the best in them. I started 11/2003. It's very rewarding when my clients achieve what they want to through my coaching and support - every time they succeed, part of me succeeds.
PS Magazine: A Turning point? Was there a teacher, a book, or an event that inspired/influenced what you do, or started you on your path?
Taymour: It was a late Wednesday night when my wife and I were talking about how unfulfilled I was feeling with my then job. She suddenly turned around and said:" Why don't you become a Life Coach? You'll be great at it!" So I did....and the rest is history.
PS Magazine: An unusual, special or extraordinary memory of an experience that still sticks in your mind? What was the significance of it for you, etc. (something that you do not mind sharing)?
Taymour: My father telling me: "If you avoid talking about politics and religion, you'll live longer".
PS Magazine: What are you working on currently, and what is your next project?
Taymour: I am in the process of organizing lectures and workshops for 2005. One will be on The Art of Public Speaking, another one titled
Re-Brand Yourself and the third one is in the making...
