Dowsing: For AnswersThe books that we treasure are few and far between, every now and again a special one crosses our path. This book is one of those treasures and it is highly recommend to readers of www.ps-magazine.com/. Wilma Davidson’s writes like a story teller of old, like a grandmother whom you have no wish to rebel against. Some authors write to hear their own voice, Davidson writes to share her knowledge.

Dowsing For Answers begins with some facts about how this ‘free energy’ has been utilised throughout history. Murals of dowsers have been found in the 8,000 year old Caves of Tasseli in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Reports show that both British and US governments have used dowsing to successfully locate enemy land mines, a truth that even the ‘doubting Thomas’ cannot ignore.

Davidson explains in some detail how the pendulum can be used to gain knowledge about one’s body; its likes and dislikes and how certain influences can affect our well-being. Armed with this tool, we are able to connect with our physical body and learn about the various influences which can either enhance or deplete our resources of energy. As long as no pre conceived ideas are allowed to influence the swing of the pendulum, the answer that is perfect for you, will be given.

We can check to see if everyday things that we use are harmful; check make-up to see if detrimental metals are present, dowse foods to see if they could spark off an allergic reaction, measure the fluoride content of water, the list is endless. By using the process of elimination, we learn to steer clear of foods which do not help our condition. Davidson speaks of different illnesses and provides specific questions to use. For instance a person suffering from diabetes can ask if eating margarine aggravates the condition. Those suffering from arthritis can ask if alfalfa would help, (many arthritics swear by its use and such information is dotted throughout the book). These questions are useful as a starting point for the beginner and serve as a good reminder to those who already use a pendulum.

There is a fascinating chapter on Aspartame, a sweetener that is not so sweet and aptly referred to as ‘witches brew’, (presumably a black witches brew!), the chapter on microwave ovens confirms that those who refuse to use them, make a lot of sense. With my new found knowledge, that sleeping over geopathic stress lines can weaken the immune system, I immediately moved my bed and now sleep like an angel!

This book is stunning and packed with a considerable amount of information that is easy to understand. Subjects such as Radon Gas, Astral Travel and Bottled Drinking Water are covered, to name but a few. Davidson ends each chapter with a summary, which is useful as a quick guide. Books by authors who have more specialist knowledge are also recommended.

Davidson is brilliant at explaining everything we need to know about dowsing and more besides. It is a treasure.
