client recently gifted me a copy of “The
Horse Boy”
by a man called Rupert Isaacson.
Rupert and his
wife Kristin live in the US
and have an autistic son called Rowan, who suffered severe difficulties
and
tantrums.
Conventional therapies
failed to help Rowan, but Rupert found that there was a strong bond
between
Rowan and his neighbour’s horse, Betsy.

 "I applaud this book; it reaches out to children and illustrates the amazing power of love. The lessons contained within its pages could easily be incorporated into everyday life, if we so chose. Most of us lead privileged lives and make informed choices, sadly this book will not find its way into the lives of children less fortunate."

Animals Are Being Skinned Alive In Chinese Fur Farms
 A friend forwarded me an email containing link to the above video, and I foolishly watched the film, for about 40 seconds.. I would recommend not watching it, but do take ation: "When undercover investigators made their way onto Chinese fur farms recently, they found that many animals are still alive and struggling desperately when workers flip them onto their backs or hang them up by their legs or tails to skin them."

Dolphin massacre in Denmark
 "While it may seem incredible, even today this custom continues, in Dantesque, in the Faroe Islands, (Denmark). A country supposedly 'civilized' and an EU country at that. For many people this attack to life is unknown, a custom to 'show' entering adulthood... No one does anything to prevent this barbarism being committed against the Calderon, an intelligent dolphin that is placid and approaches humans out of friendliness."(Contains disturbing pictures)

Artist Starves a Dog to Death as a Work of Art
 This is a distressing email. This must be stopped at all costs.Please do sign the petition. In the 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, he tied him to a rope in an art gallery, starving him to death. For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died.
